Women And Nature
As soon as you hear the word 'woman’, vocabularies like caring, compassion, love, sacrifice, beauty flows into our minds, isn't it?
Similarly, it is the nature which takes care of the minutest to the largest creatures living in its womb.
Thus, Nature is also considered as Mother. Without nature there won't be any creation and preservation of life on earth. It holds rivers which quench our thirst. Fruits and vegetables full of nutrition, flora and melodious chirps of birds are gifts of Mother nature to mankind.
These qualities of nature fascinates many poets and writers to contribute their piece to literature.
Women in Shastra
Are you as tolerant as Earth or as temperamental as Fire? Do you pass through toughest of obstacles peacefully like water or do you possess the qualities of ether- free yet powerful or what about space? Simply vast!
If you do then, let's talk about 5 virtuous women or Panchkanya who are full of inspirational attributes that must be acquired.
Panchkanya carries the 5 attributes of Panchtatva. But who are they? Let's know about them.
Ahilya Draupadi Sita Tara Mandodari tatha, Pancha kanya smarenityam, maha pataka nashanam|
"Mediating on the virtues of the five great kanyas, namely Ahilya, Draupadi, Sita, Tara and Mandodari, helps destroy even the greatest of sins”
Sometimes Sita is replaced with Kunti, but both possess the qualities of same element as that of Earth.
1. Ahilya
Lord Brahma created her. She was married to Rishi Gautam. Both used to do penance and meditation while staying in the forest. According to the scriptures, Indra had cohabitation with Gautam's wife Ahilya when Gautam Rishi had gone out of the ashram to take a bath early in the morning.
But when Gautam Muni realized that there was some time left to dawn, then he returned to his ashram. When the sage reached near the ashram, Indra was exiting from there. Knowing this misdeed done by Indra, the sage got angry and cursed Indra and Goddess Ahilya that “you will reside here as a rock. When Lord Vishnu incarnates in the form of Rama in Tretayuga, then the dust of His holy feet will bring you back to your form’.
Rama came to her and declared her blameless. In the end, sage Gautama came back to her.
Like the water which keeps flowing through difficult paths, Ahilya is the embodiment of patience.
2.Draupadi
It is said that Draupadi was born from Yagya, hence she was called Yagyani. Draupadi was a very patient, pious, strong-willed, and noble woman. During Mahabharata period, she was the wife of 5 Pandavas. During Draupadi's Cheerharan, Shri Krishna protected her from humiliation, by extending endless sari, till Dushasan dropped to ground.
3. Tara
She was the wife of the monkey king Bali, and a woman of great virtue. Bali was a tyrant who usurped his brother Sugriva’s kingdom and abducted his wife Ruma. He died by the hands of Rama and Tara was left to live piously for the rest of her life. Tara is associated with ether and has the quality of intelligence, benevolence, and open heartedness.
4. Sita
King Janaka of Mithila found Sita while his fields were being ploughed. She is the daughter of earth, stable, magnanimous, and pious. Thus, she is also known as Bhumija, one who is born out of Earth or Bhumi.
5. Mandodari
She is the wife of Ravana and is associated with the element of wind, powerful yet deep and quiet in her spiritual quest. Mondadori tolerated the evil deeds of Ravana till his death by the hands of Lord Rama.

Being Women
Being Woman is not easy as you think and especially in metropolitan area where crime against women is doubling day by day. Be it workplace, marketplace, or our home itself, women are not secure. There is always discrimination and partiality with women professionals.
But things are not negative always; be it academics, sports, arts, navy, air force, or space, women have always outshone men.
Prernamurti Bharti Shriji is the Role Model of many, She exclaims that women are not a dummy piece to which anyone can touch and go, they are an embodiment of Shakti whom everyone must bow down with respect!
Girls must be courageous enough to stand all odds. You are not weak ... You are the creators. Be as fierce as Ma Kali. Whenever any troublesome circumstance comes forth, pray to Ma Jagadamba wholeheartedly and then you'll experience the circulation of new consciousness in your body.
